dressing! i have no idea what salad i should make to go with it though. its pink! which is prettty cool for something that tops a salad. whats your favorite salad combo? or what do you think raspberry and sweet basil dressing would go with?

my grandpa in his 91 year  old glory. the reason i have been so bad with commenting and blogging is because my grandpa had a stroke. hes been in the hospital and hasnt woken up since it happened- they said that they dont know if hes going to get better. this whole thing is really terrifying! my grandma is the most scared- she called my mom crying hysterically. they love eachother so much, it always was what i wanted my first love to be like  because they are so beautiful together! im so far away from him and i have no idea how long he has or how hes doing but all i know is that im sending him all the positive energy i have within my entire being. praying for him all the time

and i even finished off the night with some greek yogurt with melted in dark chocolate dreams and shredded coconut whatever works right?

sticky and a bit overcooked oats ( ) with lavender clear honey, blueberries, unsweetened coconut shreds, and cashews.  my favorite when i was little was oats with honey and blueberries so this was a great start to monday morning!

when bored on tuesday night (no blogging so obviously i was missing all of you) CORNBREAD MUFFINS! with real corn. these are so good in the summer with the fresh corn from the farmers market, but we managed without it

comfort in a hot pink bowl. hot pink is really sexy

the nutritionist went really well, but my maintenance has been upped because i lost a little bit. im really scared and shocked but i know that it needs to be done! i always have trouble believing how much food the body needs just to maintain… its such a fabulous creation that i am so glad i can take care of now.

yum! i love oats that feel like dessert always remember: we should  treat ourselves, even if its once in a while, because we deserve it!

tomorrow i have a nutritionist appointment yikes! it even feels weird saying that because i only have one every three months now but they always seem to come around really fast! i have no idea what to expect though… all i can do is keep thinking positive that i have been maintaining. i keep telling myself that and it always calms me down. no gaining, no losing, maintaining i just feel like if my weight goes up, ill be upset & surprised yet if it down ill be even more upset! okay, rambling now- no predicting, stable weight is whats important right?

relaxing is the best thing- sometimes its nice to sit down and enjoy some cookies and tea! (or biscuits and tea as they say over here…) especially if they are childhood favorites to cheer you up when your down

okay the FUNNIEST (in an ironic way) thing happened on monday. my housecleaner was vaccuming and singing like spanish music to her ipod (hahahah) and then she accidently pushed my computer down the stairs… and it kept falling… 5 floors! so i brought it to the mac store praying they could fix it and they said they could within the week thank goodness. got stress? let them eat ice cream- !

mango ice cream with shredded coconut and raisins. i had this right after basketball yesterday and oh my gosh, i was in heaven!

what is one food you can rely on to calm you down or even just make you happy?

when i was younger toasted cinnamon raisin bagels with peanut butter were my favorite. i had this bar and warmed it up and it brought me back to then some things will never change i think!

AH!! maya gold green and blacks bar- honestly couldnt resist this bar, the name, or the taste. reminds me of a special girl im trying to think of something creative i could do with it… any ideas!?

my mom was asking me to define health to her today and i laughed because i felt as if i could answer it in one split second! but then i started thinking and wondering… what is health? its not how much you weigh, or how much you eat, or the struggles you have had-health is your view on the world, and what you get out of it. its how you live and how you learn – theres nothing i treasure more then the life i have recieved.

this weekend was really fun. i just kind of chilled out at home and hung out with friends. at one point ed spoke up and said “you should really be doing something… you ate alot today” and i just smiled and ignored that nasty little guy hes annoying, hate when he comes to visit huh? so i just showed him by eating this!

it was so sweet of my mom to do this- i hadnt expected it at all- so i was freaking and was like  ”MOM i want YOU to have cake too! your birthday is two days after mine” (poor mom, in the hospital caring for little baby me on her bday) and she laughed and said “gotta love spelt baby. gotta love it!” and then the singing began- my dad has the worst singing voice! he sounds like a goose. okay thats mean hes unique! dont you love parents though?

and then we headed to the park for a photo shoot! im in the middle(: look at rosie (my dog) she looks insanely cool!

oh my god- can you imagine like an actual POOL of raisins? okay im exciting myself after this bowl of goodness i headed to school where i was greeted with mixed emotions- some of my friends have been so cliquey lately and i have no clue why! they went at a different table at lunch and were whispering. but they acted normal? i have no idea, i swear my friends are experts in being bipolar! but i know that i just have to ignore that and keep my head up and if they are good friends i hope they will come around

started the day with- CARROT CAKE OATS with TONS of... PEANUT BUTTER

inspired by e & m!

oats with coconut, shredded carrot, (and a chunk of carrot- what the heck?!) raisins, peanut butter, and topped with a greek yogurt & brown sugar mix.

i love carrot cake oats! making desert into breakfast is so fun.

we headed to church after breakfast only to find ourselves home a half an hour later – my little sisters stitches broke! (yuckkk) so we came home and did what us ladies do best-we baked banana bread

we made it with spelt because my momma is a wheat free- she usually doesnt expect us to make her things she can eat but we do sometimes just to make her happy

a ladybug landed on my finger today (please excuse my nails, i chip off my nail polish a day after i get them done!) and i thought i would send the luck to you. wherever you are going you always have this little guy looking after you!  HAPPY NATIONAL PB DAY BEAUTIFUL AMAZING
